In a resurfaced clip from Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast that exploded online on October 31, 2025, legendary rapper Tech N9ne (real name Aaron Dontez Yates) casually opened up about one of the darkest chapters of his childhood: a full sexual relationship with his 21-year-old 7th-grade teacher when he was just 12 or 13 years old.

Sure, most of us already trade 40+ hours a week at a 9-5 (or whatever shift) for an hourly paycheck or salary. That time is spoken for. I’m not talking about that time.

I’m talking about your **free time**.

The hours you spend:

- Watching TV

- Playing video games

- Scrolling social media

- Petting your cat for three hours straight

- Watching the news

- Obsessing over politics

- Posting rants on Facebook or X about public figures

That time is pure, unallocated capital—the raw material of every dream you say you have but never make progress on.

Every minute you give to those things is a minute you’re choosing **not** to:

- Build a side income stream

- Work on your art

- Write, record, and market your music

- Learn a skill that pays 5-10× what you make now

- Create content

- Build a personal brand

- Start the business you keep talking about

Instead of complaining on social media about things you have zero control over, you could be creating something that puts money in your pocket while you sleep.

Today, self-promotion looks nothing like it did in the early 2000s. To market yourself in 2025, you have to create content—videos, reels, shorts, even stories like this one. The audience that once gathered in clubs and venues is now mostly online. Handing out flyers on the street still works, but it’s not the powerhouse tool it once was.

Performing live has evolved too. You no longer need a venue or tour bus to reach people—you just need a phone and a stable internet connection. Will 1Ton (Formerly of Potluck) Release OGMC? What’s the Underground Rapper Doing Post-Potluck?

As we all know, the underground hip-hop group Potluck officially broke up on January 13, 2017. Not long after, in April 2018, 1Ton announced he had been working on a solo album called OGMC. To continue the Marathon Marijuana Mix (MMM) series without Underrated, he released MMM #6 MMM #7 on YouTube. He continued the series up to #10 , with “ Life Lessons ” and “ TOP 10 ” (produced by DJ Hoppa) , Just As Bad Feat. Black Pegasus , Being singles from the not-yet-released OGMC.

The last update we have from 1Ton about his music comes from a Facebook post on October 24, 2024, featuring a picture of him recording at a mic with the caption:

“When it comes to this mic and making dope music… I do this FOR REAL!!! I’m also a good businessman, so I’ve been on that vibe lately! But best believe I’ve been working on a dope final album that will celebrate the wins, teach the lessons I learned from my losses, and touch the souls of the good humans on planet Earth.”

Is this “final album” he mentions OGMC? Some fans speculate that 1Ton is referring to OGMC as his first and final solo album, while others wonder if he scrapped OGMC and is working on an entirely different project.

Additionally, there’s the question of whether 1Ton will continue making music at all or focus solely on his work as a tour manager for Tech N9ne and other Strange Music artists.
