Tech N9ne Reveals Dark Childhood Story: He Had a Sexual Relationship with His 7th-Grade Teacher at Age 12–13

In a resurfaced clip from Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast that exploded online on October 31, 2025, legendary rapper Tech N9ne (real name Aaron Dontez Yates) casually opened up about one of the darkest chapters of his childhood: a full sexual relationship with his 21-year-old 7th-grade teacher when he was just 12 or 13 years old.
The interview, originally recorded earlier in 2025, has left many viewers stunned — not only because of the content, but because of the way the story is told and received.
### How It Started
Tech explains it began innocently enough. He showed his teacher a photo of his father in an LAPD uniform. From that day on, she began complimenting him daily as students left the classroom:
> “Aaron is sooo cute!”
She was beautiful, he recalls, and he was flattered. Soon he was skipping lunch to visit her alone in the classroom. Eventually the “help after school” excuse turned into trips to her house, where the sexual relationship took place.
They were nearly caught once when another student walked by and saw something suspicious. Both were called to the principal’s office. Tech, still loyal to her, denied everything and pleaded her case:
> “I remember being real serious… ‘Nothing happened.’ We didn’t get in trouble because I didn’t tell.”
### “I Was in Love”
Throughout the interview, Tech repeatedly insists he doesn’t blame the teacher and that he was genuinely in love. Even decades later, he romanticizes the relationship and refuses to label it abuse.
He recalls the last day of 8th grade walking past her classroom, seeing she was now married and had changed her name. She called out:
> “Hey! You’re not gonna give me a hug? Not gonna see you again — you’re going to high school.”
He gave her a hug and never saw her again.
### The Double Standard
Host Bunnie XO pushes back several times, pointing out the glaring gender double standard:
> “It’s so hard to wrap my brain around that… If we switch places and it was a man doing that to a little girl, we would all f***ing lose our minds.”
Tech eventually acknowledges he later heard rumors that he “wasn’t the only one” — strongly implying the teacher had done this with other students as well.
### A Textbook Case of Grooming
Regardless of how Tech N9ne chooses to remember it today, what he describes meets every legal and psychological definition of child sexual abuse and grooming:
- A 21-year-old adult in a position of authority
- Targeting a pre-teen child
- Gradually escalating from compliments → private time → sexual contact
- Using excuses (“helping after school”) to isolate the child
- Relying on the child’s silence and loyalty to avoid consequences
In 2025, this is statutory rape and teacher-student sexual misconduct in all 50 states — felony charges that would destroy careers and send perpetrators to prison.
### Why Male Victims Are Often Overlooked
Many male survivors of female-perpetrated abuse struggle to recognize it as trauma, especially when society still jokes about “lucky” boys who “bagged the hot teacher.” That cultural myth keeps countless men from processing what happened to them.
Tech N9ne’s story is a painful but important reminder: predators come in all genders, and children cannot consent — no matter how “mature” they seem or how much they think they’re in love.
Dark story? Absolutely.
And one that deserves to be called what it is: abuse.
